Also- I have been keeping my eye out for a nice OTTB Gelding under $1,000. I don't mind TLC but must be sound enough to handle jumping. Does anyone know of somewhere in Texas that rescues TB's besides Lope?
Thanks

I have several great horses for sale for Extreme Trail/Competitive trail, Cowboy Mounted Shooting, and Reining. There are pictures, etc. up at www.westernhorsesforsale.blogspot.com
I also have a little rescue case if anyone is looking for a super cute pasture ornament. We rescued a 3 year old "gelding" (once we got him home we realized he is still intact) from a local horse trader here that has a terrible reputation. We just couldn't leave him there. He is registered through AQHA and is nearly 100% Foundation bred. He is actually over 90% poco bueno bred. He is about 14.2hh, bay, no markings. He has a bum knee - it looks like he was kicked and I am not sure that he will ever make a riding horse. When we got him he was completely wild and he is now halter broke and really wants to love- he is just still a little scared. He has gained a lot of weight but still needs some more TLC. We don't have room to keep him because we are limited as to how many horses we can have on the property. a good home is a must.
All of these horses are located just north of Fort Worth Texas.

bvhorses- if you go to http://www.horseridingcamp.com/ email the owner of the place Arno and ask if he has any ponies looking to retire. I trained some ponies and horses there years ago and they have some nice kids horses and ponies that end up looking for homes when they can not take being a camp horse anymore.

These are OTTBS in central IN, have been rehabbed, veted, and retrained, and some have been to shows. Check out TW Cat and Sea Dar - they are showing and doing it all, great.

Looking for: 12.2-14 hh been there-done that pony for a very small 8 yr old girl to show english at 4-H shows. Manageable health issues ok, must be trustworthy and safe, be sound enough to w-t-c and jump X rails. Any breed, any sex, any age. I specialize in the old timers, have no problem with geriatric care to keep them healthy and sound! Must be in western NY, not willing to travel or ship long distance.
